Birmingham Monday Meeting Script Revised for zoom meeting - updated 24.08.2020.pdf

Last updated: Monday 24th August 2020

Welcome to the Birmingham Monday meeting of Sex Addicts Anonymous.

This is a closed meeting of SAA open to all genders. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop addictive sexual behaviour.

N.B. Due to the current government advice to reduce social contact in light of the Covid-19 virus risk, the group have made a decision to move this meeting to a teleconference or video conference.

This is the Birmingham Monday Meeting of SAA usually held in Moseley, Birmingham. As of 23rd March we switched to a teleconference/video conference at 7pm each week. We suggest people dial in at 6.50 so we can allocate readings and get started on time. The meeting will last 1 hour 15 minutes, except on the 1st Monday of the month when we finish at 8pm to allow 30 minutes for out group conscience meeting (open to all).

Meeting Time: Every Monday 06:50 PM for a 7pm start.

Typically, when not a teleconference but running as the usual face-to-face meeting:

The meeting starts at 7pm and finishes promptly at 8pm but the room will open from approximately 6.30pm and you are welcome to arrive any time from 6.30. Tea and coffee is available before the meeting.

The meeting takes place in a room upstairs at the Riverside House venue. Riverside House is a Victorian building on the main Alcester Road (please note it does not look like a traditional church). Please ring the top bell on the front door upon arrival. Newcomers are warmly welcomed.

Although we meet in a building owned by a church, our only connection with the church is that of a renter of meeting space.
